Bungalows Playa Famara are located on the Northwest coast of Lanzarote, in the coastal area called "Famara". It is made up of two parts: on one side of the beach and at the foot of the Risco is the Bungalows Playa Famara urbanization. And on the other side of the beach, the fishing village "La Caleta de Famara". This town is located approximately 1.5 km by car from our urbanization or about 20 minutes walking along the beach.

The Bungalows Playa Famara were built between 1969/1973 by the architect Miguel Martin-Fernandez de la Torre with the collaboration of the Norwegian architect "Per Ornulf Oien". Giving rise to the Urbanization called "Island Homes". Based on the shape of the souks in the La Geria area.

The town of Caleta de Famara is a very quiet fishing village where you can taste our typical Atlantic fish, our shellfish, the green/red mojo wrinkled potatoes, ... among many other specialties.

You can also find supermarkets, a herbalist, shops, surf schools, kitesurf and SUP paddle as well as a socio-cultural center with a playground among other services.

Its small dock has a beach for the little ones. The locals call it “la charquita”.

Nearby is the town of Teguise, the former capital of Lanzarote.
