VIII Wine and Gastronomic Festival Saborea Lanzarote (Savour Lanzarote)

When you visit Lanzarote, you should make time to relax your body and indulge all your senses. Contemplate the landscape, feel the salt on your skin, breathe in the fresh air and discover all the flavours of Lanzarote, simply for the joy of it.

Speaking of flavours, on 24 and 25 November, we have the most exquisite proposition for you – an event that you can’t afford to miss if you are visiting the island on these dates: the “Saborea Lanzarote” (Savour Lanzarote) Wine and Gastronomic Festival.

With more than 100 exhibitors and a multitude of culinary offers, this is one of the most important wine and gastronomic festivals in the Canary Islands, attracting recognised national professionals to the island so they can share their cutting edge propositions and gastronomic concepts with tourists and residents alike, all with local products playing a starring role.

This important gastronomic event takes place in Villa de Teguise.

The festival will have the following sections:

Aula Saborea Lanzarote: a diverse range of workshops, talks, competitions, tastings and cooking shows will be held here, at the hand of chefs, master cheesemakers and expert winemakers from the island – many of them from the Lanzarote Cocina collective.

Aula Chinijo Chef: here the youngest members of the family can experiment with cooking and have a great time learning fun recipes. They will be accompanied by young cooks who will teach them how to make the most of their cooking skills.

The Aula del Gusto is a space given over to the enjoyment of the culinary creations of the best chefs from the Canary Islands and from the mainland, among them some who have participated in previous editions: Ángel León, Paco Pérez, Pepe Solla, Marcos Morán… Master classes are combined with wonderful tasting sessions from these artists of the kitchen.

Área Gastro Market: this area is dedicated to different stands – restaurants, wineries, artisan makers and producers from the island will offer visitors their best products and a wide gastronomic offer, all washed down with Lanzarote’s unique, excellent wines.

Casa del Producto Canario (House of Canary Island Produce), Museo Spínola. The Museo del Timple, in the heart of Teguise, will host activities that promote the consumption and knowledge of the Canary Islands’ gastronomic jewels. This space is divided into the Wine Tunnel, Cheese Tunnel, Product Workshops and Canteen for wine and food tasting sessions.

In short, no palate will be able to resist this succulent proposition, and we look forward to seeing you in Villa de Teguise on 24th and 25th November.
