The search is on for the best sunset in Spain – Famara is in the running to be voted number 1

It’s just a fleeting moment, when time seems to stand still. It’s as if an ephemeral spell has been cast, shattering the sky into a thousand orange, red and violet-coloured pieces, until nothing remains but the darkness of night.

We’re talking about sunsets, of course…. Witnessed barefoot in the sand, from the top of a hill, from high up an enormous cliff, or in that special park …

Sunsets are a daily gift that announces the end of the day (or the beginning of a long night). Over and over again we do our best to capture their beauty with our smartphone cameras, but we never manage to do them justice, because nothing compares to watching them with your own eyes.

Everyone loves to collect sunsets. And the best in the Canary Islands is the one at Famara beach in Lanzarote – at least as far as the readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine are concerned.   The list of potential candidates is as long as your arm, but everyone has a favourite sunset, one that you wouldn’t swap for any other in the world and Condé Nast Traveler  Spain magazine wants to know which it is.

Choose the best sunset in Spain, your vote could win you a prize! Voting is open until 13th October 2019 at 11:59 p.m. peninsular time.
