Lanzarote’s 30th Annual Craft Fair 2018

Lanzarote’s 30th annual Craft Fair will take place from 12th – 16th September. It will be held in the village of Mancha Blanca in Tinajo, Lanzarote and will be open to the public from 10.30 am to 9.00 pm.

Lanzarote’s Craft Fair has been showcasing the superb craftsmanship and creativity of Canarian artisans since 1989. It has, in fact, become one of the most important events celebrating handicrafts in Lanzarote, if not the whole of the Canary Islands.

Artisans from all over the Canaries come together to exhibit and sell their work and it is also a chance for visitors to see how new life has been breathed into traditional crafts and customs that were long forgotten or on the verge of disappearing altogether.

Like every year, the Fair will feature a series of folk music performances in honour of Nanino Díaz Cutillas. These folk groups work tirelessly to promote Canarian folklore by making it accessible and relevant to all audiences.

Delighting visitors with their music and dance this year will be Aduares (from La Palma), Herencias (Gran Canaria), Oroval (Tenerife), Sabinosa (El Hierro) and Timbayba from Lanzarote.
