Jameos Music Festival 2019

A new edition of the Jameos Music Festival is back in 2019 with the best disco, funk, soulful and afro-house beats on the Jameos del Agua dance floor.

Jameos Music Festival ’19 is going for afro and spiritual house sounds, soulful and disco to shape an outstanding lineup with some of the best in those styles, so loved by everyone in past editions.

Some of the best national and international DJs, headlined by Joe Claussell, Osunlade, Marshall Jefferson and John Morales will move your body in the best festival of the year at Jameos del Agua.

The sixth edition of the Jameos Music Festival (JMF) – a boutique festival hailed as Mejor Fiesta (Best Party) at the 2019 Vicious Music Awards in Madrid – kicks off on 28 June with the first of four fab parties that’ll bring the house down. You’ll have three other chances to party on 19 July, 23 August and 20 September.

An eclectic musical journey loaded with percussion and African rhythms

The customary climax of this four-part festival is headlined by no other than John Morales – the godfather of the Jameos Music Festival. This follows a year which saw the launch of Disco Confessions, a documentary in which this legendary New York-born DJ relives an era when Lanzarote began its great adventure with Manrique’s creation of its Arts, Culture and Tourism Centres.

Morales’ funk and disco sets have become a tradition on this island and will be accompanied by emerging young talent, Melvo Baptiste. Baptiste was born into a family of dancers, record collectors and enthusiasts and was brought up on a strict diet of soul, funk, rare groove and disco.

Ian Friday will put the icing on the cake. DJ, producer, writer and inventor of the term “Global Soul”, he’s a man on a mission to take soul to the masses as a genre that links house music, soul, Afrobeat, jazz and world music, and goes beyond the boundaries of traditional music. This closing party wouldn’t be complete without the amazing voice of Gizelle Smith and the tunes of local talent ONEche DJs.

Tickets on line

Tickets for all four sessions are on sale via: and cost from €39 per person/session. Return bus transport will be provided from the Intercambiador bus station (Arrecife seafront) to Jameos del Agua.
