Pedal to the stars in aid of Earth Hour

Pedal to the Stars offers the chance to have a guided tour of historical Teguise and do some stargazing from Guanapay Castle

WHERE: From Teguise old town to Guanapay Castle (Lanzarote)

WHEN: 30th March from 6 pm to 9:30 pm

Come and walk or cycle with us to celebrate Earth Hour!

Every year Teguise town hall takes part in Earth Hour by turning off all the lights at El Castillo de Guanapay, the castle that sits on top of the volcano overlooking the village.

But this year we’re also organising a trip with a very special destination… we’re inviting people to come and join us on foot or by bike and go from the old town to the Castle to observe the stars. We’ll also be joined by a group of astronomers who will be there to help us make sense of what we see so we can enjoy the experience to the fullest!

But the work of WWF doesn’t stop there!

After Earth Hour, we want to continue promoting sustainable mobility on the island, so this year we’ll also be implementing the 30 days by bike scheme (from 1st –  30th April) to help make the island a more sustainable place. Are you up for it?

6:00 pm – Departs from the Plaza de la Constitución square (Teguise)

8:30 pm to 9:30 pm – Our “lights out” and stargazing event.
